  Justin, who is a Biblical archaeologist, and Micah, Logan’s brother visit from Cleveland. Taking place again in the fictional town of Yasamee, in this installment we’re all set for a wedding!

  As always, I throw a little history in my books. This one is no different. The story of Bardaisan as told by Justin is true. Thomas started a church in India while John and Paul wrote parts of the canon, and the psalms in it are accredited to Bardaisan (bar-Daisan (son of Daisan) in Aramaic, which Justin speaks, and is the reason I also used both spellings in the book), who was born in Edessa and was a gnostic. He is credited with being a scientist, scholar, astrologer, philosopher and poet.

  And as the first three book in this series, I am dedicating this book to a grandchild. This one is for September. She is the calm in the sea of rambunctiousness that are the Longino grandchildren. And hers is the only book where her dedication and name appear together.

  And for all you brides, did you know having something old represents continuity; something new offers optimism for the future; something borrowed symbolizes borrowed happiness; and something blue stands for purity, love, and fidelity? It’s a tradition that goes back a long way.
